4WDABC Sunrise Lake/Hale Creek Maintenance Fun Run
Remember, this event is open to the public and anyone can attend.
Each month in the Lower Mainland (Vancouver area), the 4WDABC hosts an off-road maintenance FUN run on the west side of Harrison Lake that is open to everyone.
The day trip in very informal and educational. It usually starts with a brief discussion on who the Association is and what our goals and polices are and then leads into a day trip of site seeing, excursions to other nearby lakes and trails, perhaps a few obstacles, and a lunch break. In addition, we take the opportunity to tidy up a few of the popular and relatively easily accessible off-road sites that the Association has partnered with BC Ministry of Tourism, Sport, and the Arts (MoTSA) to maintain.
If you are new to off-roading and want to get your feet wet (sometimes literally), or just want to come out for a visit to meet some new (and old) friends and get acquainted with your vehicle, then by all means please attend. There is always a trail guide, a spotter, and many familiar faces around to assist where needed. If a segment of the trail becomes a little intimidating, just park your vehicle for a while and ride along with another. Nobody is left behind. Remember to pack a lunch!
This event occurs on the 2nd Saturday of each month and we meet at the Sasquatch Inn (9:30am) for a 10:00 am (SHARP!) departure.
